Programs

Infant

The ratio in the program is one teacher for every three children, with a maximum of ten children and three teachers per room. Our Infant program accepts children from the ages of 6 months through to 18 months and is designed to create a loving and warm environment.

The infant rooms teachers always work side by side with the parents and families to ensure consistency with the infant’s daily routines and schedule from home. This includes nap times, feeding times and so forth. Our Infant classrooms atmosphere helps the children develop a sense of trust and inspires curiosity and stimulates learning.

Transitions ease children and parents into childcare and are highly recommended. Although a suggested transition schedule is followed by most parents, transition periods can vary depending on your child and their nature.

Our supervisors and teachers will work with you and your family to ensure a smooth transition that you and your child are comfortable with.

Toddler

The ratio in the toddler program is one teacher for every five children, with a maximum of 15 children and three teachers per room. Our toddler program is designed to meet each child’s individual needs by accommodating an adaptable schedule, including structured indoor and outdoor activities. Teachers are always planning developmentally appropriate activities to promote the growth of self-help skills, language development and social awareness for each child. The classrooms provide a refreshing and calm environment, where the teachers work together in planning daily activities to meet the developmental goals of the children.

During your child’s time in the toddler program, their teachers will work diligently with you to help your child transition through the stage of potty training. Our goal is for each child to enter into the preschool program either being potty trained or in the process. Not to worry or stress – being potty trained is not a requirement for the preschool program!

Pre-School

The ratio in the preschool program is one teacher for every eight children, with a maximum of 24 children and three teachers or 16 children and two teachers.

Children are encouraged on a daily basis to interact and communicate in a positive way and support their ability to self-regulate. This can be accomplished by recognizing and supporting children’s developing and carried self-regulation abilities in all the domains (biological, emotional, communicative, cognitive and social).

We encourage all children in our preschool program to participate in both large and small group activities.  These include dramatic play, arts and crafts, sensory experiences, gross and large motor activities, outdoor play and sometimes special field trips.

Our teachers are here to provide a curriculum that focuses on the child’s full development and help prepare them for entry into Kindergarten and the school system. The teachers work together to facilitate programming that is educational, fun and keeps the children’s interests engaged.
